Please remember that anyone that attends the Fall Party must have a background check completed. This must be done at lease one week before the party. Also, please remember that siblings are not allowed to attend the fall party.
Please remember that it is important that your child's iPad is sent to school (with a charged battery) every day.

You should have received the password for your child to be able to access ABCmouse.com. This is not mandatory but is a fun educational site that the students enjoy. This website will only work on a computer and isn't accesible on the iPad. Please let me know if you have lost your child's password and I will send it home again.
Show & tell may look very different this year. I am excited to be utilizing the iPads for show & tell. Please open the attached document on the right side of the website. Please contact me if you have any questions about our show & tell.
If you child reads 12 books at home this month and turns in their Book It paper, they will receive a coupon for a free pizza. The students will have the opportunity to read 12 books each month. Every student that completes this every month will receive a reward at the end of the year. If you lose the Book It form for the month just write the 12 book titles on another piece of paper. I will accept it on any paper. You can read the books to your child or they can read them to you. It is also a good idea to have your child read the "Phonics Reader" that is sent home each week. This is the workbook paper (it is folded like a book) that is sent home on Wednesdays. These stories are short but include the skills that your child is working on. These stories can count towards Book It!

Don't forget that the 2nd nine weeks starts on Monday, October 13. We will begin our new special area schedule on that date. Be sure to check the back of your child's daily take home folder to see the new schedule.
Weekly Homework will begin on September 24.
Sometimes accidents happen and a homework page is ruined at home. If your child loses, rips, or ruins their homework page just have them complete it on a blank piece of paper.
If you have wireless internet at home, you may add your wifi to your child's ipad.
We are collecting box tops during the month of September. The class that collects the most box tops will win a class party.
If you are interested in purchasing books for your child through Scholastic, please visit http://scholastic.com/reading club.
Orders are due by September 19.
